Already, more than 50,000 students have enjoyed the exciting projects, informative field trips and other fun activities that make up the ACE experience. The construction industry’s fastest-growing free high school mentoring program, ACE, is open to any high school student interested in learning more about a career in the integrated construction industry which includes engineers of all types, architects, landscape architects, contractors and its allied trades.

As a program participant, you’ll join a team of other students led by adult mentors, who are themselves practicing industry professionals. Your team will engage in one of a variety of challenging building projects. In the past, these have ranged from new schools, housing, hospitals, amphitheaters, and even temporary housing for movie stars on location.

During the projects, you’ll visit professional offices, put on your hard hat, and visit job sites and other relevant locations. You’ll also discuss the same issues and perform the same tasks you’d have to handle if you worked in the industry. It’s a practical “hands-on” view of how abstract concepts get transformed into the buildings that make up our everyday reality.

The result is a great opportunity for you to learn about integrated construction industry careers and discover which one might be right for you. It’s also fun and a great way to meet other students with similar interests. And since 1995, ACE has awarded $8.2 million in scholarships to participants.  Last year students in Orange, Osceola, and Orange counties won scholarships!

Applying today could be your first step toward an exciting and rewarding career tomorrow.  Set a date and visit ACE Mentor , select student tab, and apply online between Aug 15, 2019 and September 21, 2019.  Locations of the programs in Central Florida will be tailored to your location and will occur on Wednesday evenings 6-8 PM starting mid October 2016 through April 2017 (every two weeks).  Search You Tube for some informative clips.
