COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The presentation will provide students with a basic understanding of a photovoltaic system and its components. Students will discuss the required labels and markings along with proper methods of interrupting the power supply. The student will review different ways to make the photovoltaic system less hazardous after fire or external damage once compromised. The student will also engage in discussions regarding electric vehicles and their electrocution hazards. Students will review Firefighter Near Miss incidents involving shock and/or electrocution when dealing with Photovoltaic Arrays and electric vehicles.
