Nursing Assistant (Articulated)


The Nursing Assistant program instructs students in interpersonal skills, medical terminology, legal and ethical responsibilities, safe and efficient work practices, gerontology, nutrition, pet-facilitated therapy, health and safety including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) heart saver level, and employability skills.  Successful completion of the Nursing Assistant program qualifies the student to take the state certification examination for Nursing Assistant.  The Nursing Assistant program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing

Afternoon Session:  11:10 am - 2:10 pm

Occupational Completion Points:

Basic Health Care Worker - 90 hours
Nurse Aide Orderly - 75 hours
*Successful completion of an OCP may qualify a student for employment.

TABE Test: This program does not have TABE test score requirements. However, the TABE test scores or an exemption is required to enroll in the program.
